Spain's Women's World Cup winners get matching 'There's no summer without a KISS!' temporary tattoos to make light of FA president's kiss-gate scandal, as more complaints emerge

Spain’s World Cup stars have showed off matching temporary tattoos referencing the World Cup ‘kiss-gate’ scandal engulfing Spanish football, as more complaints emerge.

Spain women’s side beat England 1-0 in the World Cup final on Sunday but in the post-match celebrations, Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales caused huge controversy by kissing player Jennifer Hermoso on the mouth without consent.

Mail Sport reported on Thursday that Hermoso and FIFPRO have demanded the governing body take action against Rubiales.

And Hermoso and several team-mates have now alluded to the scandal by posting social media pictures of their temporary tattoos from the Beso Beach resort on Formentera after relaxing on a yacht on holiday in Ibiza following their success

Double Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas, Ona Batlle, Teresa Abelleira and Cata Coll and Hermoso made light of the scandal by displaying theirs, uploading images of their temporary inking ‘#NoHayVeranoSinBeso’, which translates to ‘There is no summer without a kiss’.

Prime minister Pedro Sanchez criticised Rubiales and demanded he explain the kiss. Mail Sport‘s Ian Herbert described Rubiales as ‘reptilian’ and ‘creepy’.

While it emerged Hermoso rejected the chance to appear in his apology video despite him begging “My position is at stake, do it for my daughters”.

On Wednesday, Rubiales was rocked by damaging new claims. As reported by Spanish outlet El Confidencial, Rubiales now faces accusations that he took a Mexican woman on a six-day work-funded holiday to New York.

He is also alleged to have harassed and humiliated a female colleague, who claimed he asked her about the colour of her underwear and about wearing ‘knee pads’ in meetings when they worked together.

Tamara Ramos left the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) after suing Rubiales and urging the body to sack him, though as part of her exit it was agreed Rubiales would not go to trial.

During that process Ramos alleged Rubiales used phrases like “Don’t pay attention to this pregnant woman. The neurons have gone”, “shut the f*** up” and “here I do what comes out of the tip of my d**k”, some in front of several onlookers.

She accused him of finding a flat to rent and making personal purchases using the money of the organisation, as well as revealing to colleagues that she was pregnant despite her request to keep it secret.

Ramos also alleged that after questioning her heavy workload while pregnant, Rubiales said “take the f***ing door and get out of here right now”, ordered her to work at his own house and then turned up suddenly at 11pm to insist she was “going to pay for it”.

The Spanish FA said in response: ‘We regret and denounce the very serious and false accusations made by Tamara Ramos, a former co-worker of president Luis Rubiales when he headed the AFE union.

‘In addition, immediate legal measures have been taken on the understanding that statements of such magnitude and so defamatory cannot be tolerated that the only thing they want is to damage the image of Luis Rubiales by taking advantage of the current media current.

‘It is pertinent to report that Ms Ramos has also maintained personal contact with president Luis Rubiales throughout this time and has even sent him family images, congratulated him on his birthday, and even recently requested a job in the federation.

‘We totally condemn the aforementioned statements, which we consider inadmissible, announcing at the same time the filing of the appropriate criminal actions against Ms Ramos.’

Rubiales was on Wednesday accused of sexual assault.

Attacking midfielder Hermoso, who plays for CF Pachuca, admitted she ‘didn’t like’ it when Rubiales grabbed her and held her in a tight embrace before kissing her on the lips on the celebratory podium after the match, for which he later reluctantly apologised despite initially defending his behaviour.

He also grabbed his crotch in what was described by USA legend Megan Rapinoe as a ‘signal of a deep level of misogyny and sexism’, who insisted his kiss was ‘physical assault’.

Spanish football chief Miguel Ángel Galán filed a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office in Madrid and the State Attorney General’s Office alleging Rubiales’ actions constituted sexual assault.

Rubiales was also sensationally caught on camera grabbing his crotch in wild scenes next to Queen Letizia and her 16-year-old daughter, Princess Infanta Sofía.

Damning footage circulated on Twitter showing Rubiales’ scandalous celebrating in the stands at Sydney‘s Stadium Australia on August 20.

The news came on the same day Mail Sport reported Spain coach Jorge Vilda appeared to grab a female staff member’s breast during the World Cup final celebrations.

Video footage taken seconds after Olga Carmona’s 29th-minute goal against the Lionesses shows the Spanish staff celebrating – and Vilda’s left hand seeming to linger on a female staff member’s breast.

There have also been complaints around Vilda’s conduct from players amid allegations he created a controlling environment.
