I had telepathic relationship with Eden Hazard at Chelsea and he’s one of the best I’ve ever seen

Oscar has hailed Eden Hazard’s dribbling ability and says his former Chelsea teammate was one of the best players he played with during his career.

Hazard announced his retirement from football earlier this week at the age of 32, after struggling with injuries during his time at Real Madrid.

Prior to his move to Spain, Hazard established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League at Chelsea, scoring 110 goals in 352 appearances for the Blues.

He won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and League Cup during seven years at Chelsea.

Hazard joined Chelsea at the same time as Oscar in 2012 and the duo formed a close relationship both on and off the pitch during their time at Stamford Bridge.

The duo tore Premier League defences apart with their link-up play and Oscar – who now plays for Shanghai Port in the Chinese Super League – says Hazard’s dribbling ability made him unstoppable.

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, Oscar said: “Hazard is one of the best players I played with. Not just because Eden was so good, but the way we played together and the way we understood each other [meant] we almost played the same football. Of course, we have different styles, but we think the same.

“I have many memories of playing with Eden. I think we arrived at the same time at Chelsea. We are the same age and he played in Belgium as a number ten and I played in Brazil as a number ten at this time.

“When he arrived, we always tried to find each other and to play together, because we like to play fast and pass and move and every time we did this in the first year, it was amazing.

“Eden is very easy to have a relationship with because he’s always fun, always happy and he also loves the Brazilian players and the Brazilian people. We had a great relationship.

“Eden turned into an amazing player because he has a different talent. He has a great personality and always played with a smile and enjoyed playing football.

“The way he dribbled [and] the way he had the power to turn to attack the defenders was amazing. I always enjoyed playing with him a lot and to see him doing amazing things on the pitch.

“Also, we did a lot of things together. I remember one goal against Manchester United where I passed to him at Stamford Bridge and he went and scored the goal, so we had great moments at Chelsea and great moments together.”
