The release of Football Manager 2024 is right around the corner.
The new season is in full swing, which means fans around the world are already playing EA FC on their consoles and FPL on their phones – but now it’s time to crack out the laptops.
The 20th edition of the best-selling franchise has been described as a ‘love letter to football’ and promises to be the best instalment yet.
Football Manager 2024: Release date
FM24 will be released from 4pm on Monday, November 6.
Football Manager 2024 Console will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox on the same date, as will Football Manager 2024 Touch on Nintendo Switch.
FM24 Early access will only be available to players using the PC version via Steam and Epic, but an official date is yet to be confirmed.
However, based on previous years, it usually drops around two weeks before the main game, Monday, October 23.
All pre-orders offer 10 per cent off the full price of the game (£40.49 instead of £44.99) – it is not available to pre-order on Nintendo Switch.
FM24 Mobile will be available only to Netflix members.
Women’s football will not be introduced until FM25, meaning the WSL won’t be available on the database.
Football Manager 2024: New gameplay features
One of the most highly-anticipated new additions in FM24 will be the option of beginning three different saves at the start of their game.
Users will now be able to select from ‘real world’ and ‘your world’ options alongside ‘Original’ – the standard latest data and squads.
‘Real world’ allows players to start game cycles from the real-life date of the start of their save – with transfers working accordingly.
‘Your World’ resets squads and budgets at the date your game starts, and only players who joined before will be at your club.
This effectively allows users to change history with all future transfers cancelled – such as Endrick’s July 2024 switch to Real Madrid.

Football Manager 2024: What has been said?
Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive’s studio director, said: “Football Manager 2024 will be the 20th game in Sports Interactive’s Football Manager series, and will be the last of its kind.
“It’s a love letter to football and the FM series as we know it.
“It’s the closing of this chapter of our history.
“You can expect a host of improvements, big and small, both in new features and revamps to existing areas of the game.
“This is all thanks to ideas and feedback from within the studio, the world of football and contributions from our feature request forum.
“The vast majority of the team at Sports Interactive are working on FM24, with the idea that it will inarguably be the most complete version of Football Manager to date.”
