Oleksandr Usyk in awe of Deontay Wilder’s ‘incredible streak’ as he makes prediction for Anthony Joshua fight

Oleksandr Usyk believes that Deontay Wilder would beat Anthony Joshua, if the two ever actually fight.

While Usyk’s undisputed heavyweight world title clash with Tyson Fury is now signed and targeted to take place in the coming months, the same cannot be said for Joshua vs Wilder.

The long-awaited fight between the Brit and the American has failed to materialise once again.

An offer that was initially accepted by both parties for the contest to take place in Saudi Arabia fell through.

Representatives for both men are now attempting to salvage the fight in a new location, but they are understood to be struggling to find a new offer close to the one they had before.

Regardless, Usyk was asked for his thoughts on the potential match-up this week during an interview on his USYK17 YouTube Channel.

“Wilder’s incredible streak is that if he hits once, one is unable to fight back,” Usyk replied.

“I’m going with Wilder, 60/40 in favour of Wilder.

“He hits incredibly hard. Deontay’s able to send someone flying when he touches them.”

Usyk also confirmed that he will be ringside for Fury’s clash with Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

“Yes, I’m going there. I would like to see the bout,” he said.
