Eagle-eyed supporters were left stunned after a US broadcaster used an image of the Colosseum in Rome to promote AC Milan clash against Juventus.
Fox Sports were promoting the crunch clash in Serie A on social media when they shared a snap of the ancient amphitheatre alongside a number of American stars taking part in the fixture.
Unfortunately the use of the Rome-based landmark was geographically inaccurate.
While the post has now been deleted from social media platform X, that didn’t stop fans from noticing the blunder.
One fan wrote: “Nothing screams Milan vs Juventus like a picture of Rome.”
Another said: “The Colosseum is Rome. AC Milan is in Milan and Juventus is in Turin.
Meanwhile, another said: “What does the Colosseum have to do with Milan and Juventus?”
For both sides, the fixture could have a huge bearing on the season ahead.
Milan and Juventus currently sit second and third respectively in Serie A, trailing behind league leaders Inter Milan.
With Napoli winning the division last year, both sides will be hoping to mount a serious challenge this time around.
