Arsenal fans fume after learning how many seats they would get for Champions League final – as Liverpool fans rage over even SMALLER allocation in Europa League final

Arsenal and Liverpool fans are livid with their potential ticket allocations for the Champions League and Europa League finals.

The Gunners start their Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich tonight while Liverpool host Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday.

UEFA have revealed that each club in the final of Europe’s top competition will get just 25,000 seats each – despite 86,600 tickets at Wembley being available.

Another 10,000 will be on general sale while the remainder will go to dignitaries, commercial partners, UEFA member associations, and so on.

For the Europa League final at the Dublin Arena, clubs will get just 12,000 tickets each – despite the stadium holding 48,000.

None of this is a surprise, because it happens every year. The direct 58% allocation for fans of the two finalists of the Champions League is actually the most generous in a decade – or the least miserly, if you like.

None of this has stopped fans from being enraged.

Those of Arsenal and Liverpool have been particularly vocal on social media, but Manchester City are also still in the Champions League, while West Ham remain in the Europa League. Aston Villa are in the Europa Conference League.

‘Joke, this needs to change ASAP. Who makes these football decisions, certainly not supporters of the game, maybe pinstriped people,’ wrote one Gunners fan on X, formerly Twitter.

‘So almost half the tickets won’t go to fans of the two teams playing, absolutely shocking,’ said another.

‘So 36k will go to people who might not even support the club that’s in the final,’ commented one, pointing out the obvious.

Another pleaded sympathy for supporters. ‘Imagine being an fan and watching every game home and away and not being guaranteed a ticket for this.’

‘Those champions league final ticket prices are absolutely scandalous and so are the allocations typical Uefa,’ said one, drawing attention to how the cheapest ticket will be £60, with the most expensive at £210.

Liverpool fans were similarly up in arms.

One wrote: ‘That’s an absolute joke and I expected nothing less from them. F*** UEFA.’

Another said: ‘25% of the tickets for a European final available to neutrals. What a farce.’

‘Regardless of which team gets there it’s crazy that the clubs get less than 30% allocation. Guess the backhanders all need seats to watch teams they have zero connection with,’ one commented.

One expressed dismay at how the tickets allocated to each club wn’t even all be put on sale to fans. ‘Clubs only going to dish out about 8k of these [out of 12,000],’ they said.
