Sky Mobile investigating as some users still experiencing internet problems

Sky Mobile was down for some customers on Thursday, with people experiencing issues with 3G, 4G and 5G services.

Users reported not being able to use the internet following outages in the evening. There had been issues in the morning too.

One user on X wrote: “I have a phone that won’t work for anything if I turn off my WiFi and I need to leave for work soon.”

Another said: “Is there something up with #skymobile… having issues this morning and don’t know why.”

Downdetector, which measures outages, showed thousands of people had reported issues.

A total of 79% of those users reported problems with their phones, while 20% had issues accessing the internet and 2% had problems with their TV.

Sky Mobile acknowledged an issue on X on Thursday morning and it was later fixed.

However, Sky Mobile later posted to say it was aware customers were facing further problems.

Just after 6pm, it said: “We are aware that some Sky Mobile customers are experiencing issues with their 3G/4G/5G services.

“We are investigating the issue and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.”
